TMJ can be very painful and could have the following symptoms but the condition is not limited to just these symptoms.
- Soreness in the area
- Clicking or popping of the jaw when moving the mouth
- Difficulty chewing
Although surgery may be needed to repair the Temporal-mandibular joint, treatment for this condition can also include adjusting the bite, replacing missing teeth, laser therapy, and night guards. Each TMJ case is different, by having a proper exam and x-rays you and your dentist will find the appropriate treatment.
